Vi passed away peacefully at Broadmead Lodge just shy of her 95th birthday. A big thankyou from her family to all the care, dining room and nursing staff who work in A2 Village Geen Lodge since our Mum moved in. Another big thankyou to Erin who took Mum for drives weekly and made sure on their return Mum got her tea and coffee crisp treats. Vi is predeceased by her Mother, Rose Lydia Thornton and her 7 siblings from Staines England. Vi was born and raised in Staines England and joined the Wrens during WW11 and was stationed in southern England. She met a Canadian soldier, Lincoln Kennedy and made the voyage to Edmonton Alberta after the war. They moved to Victoria which Mum absolutely loved and told her family quite often. Mum's humor and wit was well know to all and will be sorely missed. A beloved Mother and Grandmother who leaves behind her three daughters and their spouses, Kerry and Chuck, Vivian and Rod, Karen and Wes and her four wonderful grandchildren Jessica, Larissa, Desmond and Jaamel. The love, joy and pride she had for her daughters and grandchildren was endless. Our Mother and Grandmother will be greatly missed but she will live in our hearts.
