Warren R. McGillivray

Warren passed away on April 11, 2023, in Victoria, BC. He is survived by his spouse Linda (née Henderson), son Douglas and daughter Catherine.

Born May 29, 1941, in Saskatoon, SK, to Helen (née Mickleborough) and Roderick McGillivray, Warren became an accomplished Actuary with the International Labour Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations, dedicating his life’s work to the advocacy and advancement of social security worldwide. While his work led to postings in Tanzania, Nigeria, Switzerland, Thailand, and Fiji, his passion led him to travel extensively. He was grateful for every experience and person he met along the way.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the BC Cancer Clinic, Victoria Hospice, and the Island Health Community Care team.
