William Ross Pitre

With our hearts full, we would like to share that our father, William Ross Pitre passed away on May 21, 2023 at the age of 83. As a young man living in Sooke, Ross began his lifelong career as a commercial fisherman. Most would know him by association with the Admar, his fishing vessel for many years. He had a great passion for the wilderness and working with his hands; he always had a project on the go - woodworking, cooking, fly-tying, and many more. He will be remembered in the AA community as a passionate advocate and sponsor. He maintained his wit and indomitable character til the end. Ross was predeceased by his parents Joan & Bill Pitre, brothers Ken (Dorothy), and Murray (Cathy). He will be lovingly remembered by his family; daughter Karen Boudewyn (Jason), son Trent Pitre (Caitlin), 7 grandchildren, sister Mary Kendrew (John), and many extended family members.

The family welcome you to attend Ross' Celebration of Life which will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Charters River Salmon Interpretive Centre, 2895 Sooke River Road, Sooke, BC.
