William Arthur Weeks

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our dear Bill (Bubba, Dad, Uncle Bill, Chief Weeks). His spirit left the earth on Sunday February 7th at the age of 87. His spirit will continue to live in all the lives of those who had the pleasure to know him. Survived by his wife Joanna, children, Marie (Pete), Bill (Annie), Anne (Mario), Alan (Ilyanna) and his grandchildren, Russell, Claire, Sean, Josephine and Isabella. Bill is also survived by his brother Gerry (Cym), Paul (Linda), Suzanne, Mark (Marnie) and predeceased by his brother Rick (Heather), sister-in-law Barb and brother in law Dave (Suzanne) and many nieces and nephews and friends far and wide. He will be remembered by his sparking smile, infectious laugh and booming voice (clear and bright, right to the end). These last few years were not easy for Bill as he lost his ability to engage in life as he'd been used to. And although he had a vibrant career as a West Vancouver firefighter and a stint in the Air Force as a younger man, his greatest joy and achievement was the family he created with his loving wife Joanna. In his final days he said a number of times, "the best thing I ever did was have you kids". We're sad that due to Covid we won't be able to gather and share stories and horse around together reminiscing about all of the sayings and Bill-isms that probably aren't appropriate to repeat here.
