She brings a deep sense of care and dedication to supporting families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Tavia recently joined Earth’s Option, where she continues to serve with empathy, professionalism, and respect for every individual.

Brenda Freed is a Funeral Director Apprentice with Affordable Cremation on Vancouver Island, currently learning the profession through both formal education and hands-on experience. With over 40 years of experience working with the public, she brings a warm, empathic, and approachable presence to families during some of life’s most challenging moments.
Brenda’s background is as unique as her personality-she trained in comedy at SCTV in Toronto, which homed her natural ability to connect with others through humour and authenticity. This rare combination of compassion and comedic instinct allows her to offer comfort with grace, sincerity, and the occasional well-timed laugh.
Outside of work, Brenda enjoys gaming, stand up paddleboarding, and bringing light wherever she goes.
